The program of LIVING DIVERSITY

As you found out about people who are working towards the implementing the project Living Diversity, it's time to present the project itself.
Living Diversity is an educational project based on informal learning for the youth. The goal of the project is to unite creativeness, motivation and diverse cultures. During the project the lectures will be held by young and active interns from various countries. During the project:
  • We will try to develop personal improvement of the participants and in this way we will help to determine values, get to know better themselves and seek for their personal goals.
  • The participants will work in teams and through this experience they will develop team member skills, interpersonal understanding, learn how to adjust to other people and, of course, have their opinions and interests and stand for them.
  • Communication with interns, the presentations of their cultures will broaden pupils' minds, stimulate curiosity in other cultures and tolerance towards them; of course, the opportunities to improve their communication skills will also be available.
  • Trainings and lectures will be held in English; this will create the environment where English language will be used and improved.
Project will be held in March and April, 2011.
Duration: 7 weeks.
Target audience:  The pupils, aged 13-19, of Vilnius schools.

The course of the project "Living Diversity":
1 week - Introduction to the new culture + working in teams.
2 week - Introduction to the new culture + music, arts, literature.
3 week - Workshop day.
4 week - Introduction to the new culture + public spirit.
5 week - Introduction to the new culture + developing the personality
6 week - Introduction to the new culture + future prospects.
7 week - Cultural day camp.
